What car key and fob work we do
Most of what people call us for falls into a few buckets: a spare key so you're not down to your last one, a replacement when a key is lost or broken off, fob programming when the buttons stopped talking to the car, and basic key cutting. For a lot of older and mid-range vehicles, that's a straightforward job we can knock out the same day during business hours.
Newer cars with proximity keys, push-button start, and encrypted transponders are a different animal. Some we can program, some need dealer-only equipment we don't carry. Give us a call with your year, make, and model and we'll tell you flat out whether it's a job for us or one you should take to a dealer or automotive specialist. No runaround.
When folks usually call us
Down to your last working key and want a backup before it's an emergency. A fob that quit clicking and you've already swapped the battery. A key that snapped or got so worn it barely turns. A teenager who needs their own copy. Or you bought a used car off Craigslist or a private seller in Newbury Park or Camarillo and it came with exactly one key.
We come to you anywhere in our service area, from Thousand Oaks and the rest of the Conejo Valley out across Ventura County and into the west San Fernando Valley. You don't have to get a non-running car towed to a shop just to get a key made.
What to expect when you call
Have your year, make, and model ready, plus whether you've got a working key already (it makes some jobs faster and cheaper). We'll quote you before we start so there are no surprises, and the estimate is free. We take credit and debit cards, Zelle, cash, and check.
