A master key system is the answer when 'one key per door' has turned into a ring nobody can manage. We design and install them for Calabasas businesses around The Commons and the Calabasas Road corridor — offices where the manager needs to open everything but each employee only opens their own area, suites where different tenants share a building, retail where the back office, stockroom, and front need different access. Done right, one master opens the whole place while staff carry a single key that only fits where they belong.
It's not only a commercial thing in this city. The larger estates in Mountain View Estates and behind the gates at The Oaks often have a main house, a guest house or casita, a garage, a pool house, and a few outbuildings — and the same problem of too many keys. We can set up a master system so the owner carries one key for everything, while a housekeeper, gardener, or pool service gets a key that opens only their part of the property. The point is key control: you decide who opens what, and you can change it later without re-doing the whole house.
We use restricted keyways where it makes sense, so keys can't be quietly copied at a hardware store — which matters when you're handing keys to staff or service people. We're a local, licensed, and insured locksmith (CA BSIS #LCO8562) based in Thousand Oaks, we'll map the system with you before cutting anything, and you get a clear price first.
